Older Adult Ministries

Ministry Highlights

Luncheons with special menus and programs are held in the fellowship hall or other venues at a nominal cost. Sign-up sheets are on the Older Adult bulletin board located in front of the church office.

Dinners are held in the fellowship hall or at designated restaurants with a cost to cover the menu. Sign-up sheets are on the Older Adult bulletin board and transportation is provided for restaurant outings.

Homebound/Nursing Home Ministries happen Wednesday mornings at 10 am. We gather at the church to go and sing “good ‘ole gospel hymns” to our many nursing home and assisted living patients and residents.

Inter-generational Ministry provides the opportunity to work with our younger people in church; from infants to young adults. We currently have “Grandpa’s and Grandma’s Story Time” each month.

Service Projects include working at the local Soup Kitchen, the Clothes Closet and the “Pillow Throw” ministry for our local dialysis patients.

“Let’s Get Physical” comes from our weekly aerobics. Each Monday and Thursday morning at 9am we enjoy keeping ourselves fit in the Youth Building.

As with anyone, we like to travel. Each year we travel to different venues as day trips and even overnight trips. We also enjoy a day trip to Epworth-by-the-Sea for Winter Camp Meeting and for the annual Spring Older Adult Retreat.
