The PAUMC Preschool has now opened enrollment for the 2012/2013 school year.
There are openings in the 2 year old program and 3 year old program.

The Preschool is now accepting applications for teacher and teacher’s aide positions.
Please complete the Application below and email it to Mandy Avera in the Preschool office.

Welcome!
The Park Avenue United Methodist Church Preschool strives to provide students with
opportunities to grow in strength, in wisdom, in a positive self-image, and in the
knowledge of God’s love.

Our teachers incorporate opportunities to participate in physical activity,
learn about desirable health habits, and experience successes in new endeavors.

We provide encouragement and guidance in a clean, appropriate, interesting,
Christian environment, and teach our students that they are loved and accepted
for themselves.

Our classes meet from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., and at the present time, we do
not provide before school or after school care. We do, however, allow siblings of all
students, regardless of church affiliation, to attend Mother’s Morning Out on
Tuesdays and Thursdays as a convenience.

We love our students and their families, and whether you’re considering joining us
or if you are a parent in search of information, we hope you will find everything
you need here. If not, please contact us to let us know how we may assist you.

Our Staff

2 ½ Year Old Classes

Our youngest classes are offered for students who will turn two on
or before June 15 prior to the beginning of classes. Classes meet on
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Students in these classes will
learn to share, learn to interact with other children and adults, and
discover a variety of colors, animals, seasons, and more.

3 Year Classes

Our 3 year-old students have the choice of the 3 day program or
the 5 day program. The 3 day program meets on Mondays, Wednesdays,
and Fridays, and there is one class offered in this format. Our 5 day
program meets daily, and two classes are offered for students wishing
to attend every morning of the week. Students learn about the letters
in the alphabet, numbers 0 through 20, shapes, colors, and seasons.

4 Year Classes

Our 4 year old classes meet 5 days each week. Students learn to recognize
and write all letters in the alphabet, and numbers 0-20. Students also learn
about shapes, colors, weather, seasons, their address and phone number,
as well as many other things. In addition, we prepare students for reading
and hone their fine motor skills through cutting, gluing, writing, and more.
